First off, Assassins Creed & Far Cry are 2 separate entities. Both are of different genres.Just because it's open ended environment, doesn't mean it falls prey to Assassins Creed's gameplay, which is absurd to be compared in the first place.Assassins Creed had a very gripping storyline but it failed to keep up the pace with it's boring gameplay & below-average fight sequences. But that still doesn't take away the fact that it still had good potential.
Far Cry 2 on the other hand looks very promising. Most of the features are pretty similar to the other next-gen FPS title excluding fire propagation which is really good. The map creation tool looks very user friendly too.My main concern is not having to fiddle around too much with the compass navigation part. For some reason I can't see myself holding a map & just guiding myself with a compass.May be because I am geographically challenged.:bleh:
A simple map would have been better IMO or may be it ain't that bad.Weapons look really good.Especially the flame thrower which I want to try out very badly.I hope this game's AI lives upto it's previous installment.
