For those doubting it's total install size here's the steam versions installed size:

Man, played Farcry 2 for about 2 hours yesterday. It is not only easy (maybe I should increase the difficulty) but also a little boring. The driving is really boring. And the missions always involve killing lots of people. Hunting for diamonds, discovering guard houses and safe houses, keeping your malaria under check, repairing cars etc. are novelties for only some time, after which it gets tedious. I don't know how much longer the game is, so I'll play for some time.

OK so I grabbed a copy from GoG and yeah it occupies only some 3.2 odd GB of installation space. I recall having given up halfway through thanks to the pukey African Savannah setting. But I thought I'll give it another shot since I am dying to play another singleplayer FPS title since a long time now. Started the game, repaired the car and completed the first objective OFFICIALLY! :P

Btw wasn't this the game that requires the player to constantly search for some medication to prevent Malaria attack or something? :ashamed:

One of the best open world shooters dumbed down by stupid/sharpshooter AI and respawning camps.

No other gives you the feel of being a lone hunter in a african setting!
If you are not feeling that, then either you are playing it all wrong or you are just not meant for it!

It's not your usual intense FPS. I played it for about one hour over a month to finish and actually liked it :) But yeah, don't search for a storyline :P Although you'll get a good twist at the end :)

I have to agree, this game was decent. I loved the Savannah setting, but Ubisoft make pretty but boring games. AI and redundant set pieces were its bane. 7.5/10

#Gannu go back to stalker and play it again and try for alternate endings. Far Cry 2 gets repetitive and boring real fast.

I've completed all the 3 titles and I guess I'll leave it there for now. Will look forward to Metro: Last Light. Thanks though. :)

I think I have already clocked 7+ hours in this game. Honestly from the start I am completely hooked to this game. Yes I stayed away from it for a long time after reading the public reactions. Well patrol guards pissing you off frequently (respawning at posts) is definitely a serious issue here thats why I decided to play it on easy & I think its more fun this way. Still if you could overlook that part its an awesome game as far as I am concerned.
Anyways from my experience till now I would put far cry 2 > far cry 3> far cry.
(Far cry 3 is clogged with so many customization options that sometimes I really try to stay away from the menu as long as possible. )

My stat so far.:D

Completed. It took me around 18 hrs 40 mins approx. Overall I liked this game. Honesty none of the far cry games except this kept me so much interested .

This could have been an excellent game had they paid attention to these things.

1. The reputation system is completely messed. I mean in higher reputation system they should have allowed the players not getting chased by those patrol guards or attacked by them frequently.
2. Almost in every 5 mins you get attacked on the road.
3.Gun jamming too frequently sucks. (reliability upgrade is not much of an help)
4.Too much repetition in the side quests. Moreover (I did all the buddy missions) your buddy does not helps you that much in your main missions.
5. Long distances & few bus stops.

For me that was the most annoying factor in the game. Even clearing outposts and taking them over seemed pointless as they would keep getting filled in by enemy forces in a gap of minutes. Nevertheless, had completed the game.
