Thanks for all the feedback, Yes i am a Unix person but Mac is beyond my budget. Also i feel that for that budget i can Rig more power packed setup.
Few points
1. Video thing is just personal home videos(i am not into video business) just felt i should mention it to give complete idea of what i wanted, guess i confused a bit.
2. GPU doubt? I still feel that the GPU will be really required if the main aim is Animation,HD Videos and Gaming. I need more Processing power and Higher resolution.
I accept that i should have a MOnitor bigger than 22".. Also looking at the rate at which prices are falling, i am postponing my decision by few more weeks to 2011 and planing to squeeze more out of my current setup which is just a 2.53GHz stock C2D with 3GB DDR2.
I am surely going to scan through the developments in this forum for more great inputs.
