Feeling hopeless, need to earn money, don't know where to post this

This is a bit hard. I'm in a fix. My family is going through a financial problem. Plus, I'm off to college. Plus we just shifted, plus, the car decided to conk off NOW, plus a million other problems all occurring at the same TIME!

I need to find work, work I can do remotely, from my laptop, or something similar, so I can devote 2-3 hours a day and earn a bit, to go by monthly expenses without having to rely on my parents.

I'm really in a situation, and I would really like some help....
 
If you are just looking for money ehough for your survival , then try giving tutions in your area of expertise ? Its actually good money while you revisit your basics of education.
 
i'm 1st year, nobody will pay for tuition from me(I live at hostel). I do well in maths. But it's a good idea. I'll look into it.

btw let me know how much you plan to earn, because I do get requests from my friends etc for data entry job. If you are interested, then next time I will let you know if I get any. Currently, I have given a friend such work, it needs some 3-4 hours / day, for 5-6 days he is getting 3K.

I have no idea how much one should pay / earn through data entry, but all I can do is, let my friends contact you when they have any work :)
 
Freelancing is one thing you can try. If you are comfortable with a little bit of programming languages, you can approach your nearby travel agents / medical stores etc and offer them a website / desktop solution for a decent amount.
 
How much money are you looking for? If it's 10k-15k, you can find a lot of freelance work from freelancing websites and do whatever you can ranging from programming/development, SEO to even article writing and many such little things and make that much doing ~3 hrs a day.

3K for 5 - 6 days? That's really nice :D Given the time I spent before the computer, I should be able to rake up something too :P

tutions is best , by your comments i think you dont know the amount of money which is there in education system

One of my cousin in a small town is taking tutions from 11 std and raking 6k per months a small amount for a metro but big for a small town

he devotes just 3 hours

Rates are even higher for going to home and teaching and thats the best option for you

Make a good image and you will have enough offers that you might take this as full time job

Image of boys is what counts in tution business . I dont mean to say that you are a playboy or spoilt brat but maximum in house tutions will be of girls in 4-10 std and parents do look for a clean teacher if you know what i am trying to say

and tutors reputation spreads by mouth so its upto you
 
Tuition,mate!lost my father when I was in the first year at medical college...I was in a pretty bad situation..started teaching biology for students of 9th and 10th...later moved on to PMT aspirants..couple of years later when I was in final year had some students in the first year of medical college..kept on teaching till I completed MD,made pretty good money!!Just have faith in yourself and pray to God...you will be fine..trust me on this!!

Hmm, thanks a ton for the heads up. Im gonna enquire around my area and do some demo classes if I have the opportunity and see what I can do. Thanks a bunch gys.
 
@comp@ddict, mate a little advice, as i've been there, to get some extra dough..

be confident and only take those subjects and of those class, in which you are actually strong, know about it and can teach.. if you can't take 11-12th pcm, don't bother with it, it is anyway hectic and pita with students taking a lot of time and making you stressed..

also, don't say that you're a newbie and this'll be your first student, etc coz even if you'd be able to do wonders with the student, but you won't be able to as parents will certainly doubt your abilities as they want the BEST and you may not get the money you deserve..

you can always say that i've given tuition to 2-3 students in the past ( but don't exaggerate) without making those imaginary students reachable, and tell them that you'd be giving 1 or 2 demo classes, so the student can decide, anyway..

and sometimes, while discussing about your life and education, parents ask why are you taking tuitions..?

for this, prepare a good answer.. if nothing comes to your mind, either you can be honest with them or simply tell them that it's your hobby, as i had hard times answering this, though i really wanted to say " i'm doing tis for money coz my pocket money ain't enough' but I didn't, luckily.." :ashamed:
 
May be not related to topic but i have tried to get an online freelancing job but after a lot of searching also i cant find any. are there any places to find freelancing jobs i can do writing also.
