FIFA 08 Vs PES 08

Want to purchase the best soccer game.

The obvious 2 choices are FIFA 08 and PES 08.

Which one...

Graphics matter, but for a sports game gameplay matters even more...

and somehow I would also like the official teams listed...

Please give me your opinions...The general opinion I see on net is:

FIFA has upped their gameplay and AI which they lacked...

PES has upped their graphics which was lacking compared to FIFA...

So, what should I pre-order :huh:

Depends on what platform you are looking for.

FIFA 08 on PS2,PC are last gen engines. I tried the PC demo, felt it was horrible.
FIFA 08 on the XboX 360,PS3 seems to be getting favourable first opinions, but personally I couldn't comment. (No next gen system to play on).

PES 2008 on PS2 will be old gen.
PES 2008 on PC,PS3,XboX 360 is next gen. I can personally vouch for the PC version, (Have been playing the demo), it's very addictive.

So if you are playig on the PC/PS2, definetly get PES 2008.

On the XboX 360/PS3, I can't say much.
 
i cant help it but laugh. lol

pes 03 was better than fifa08. yes i have played all the fifa games. only decent fifa game was fifa2003 after which it has become a joke 1 year after the other.

get pes & you will never regret it. also pes has been better on all platforms, pc, ps1, ps2, xbox & xbox 360.

p.s - whoever will vote for fifa i guarantee you 100% that they have never sat down & played pes properly yet, or they have played pes just once & dint understand & found it different from fifa & went back to fifa.
 
^^ Hey... just my two cents... the AI in FIFA08 has improved quite a lot and it's now difficult to get possession of the ball...
 
If you like pinball, play FIFA.

If you like football, play PES, simple!!

And compared to PES, FIFA's AI is still pi$$ p00r, I dont know how guys feel like playing FIFA, jeez!!.
 
Wow...I got my answer...:eek:hyeah:

well I havent played PES...but played FIFA 99 and was easily able to win by 6 goals on the tough professional level and it was not funny:mad: ...was hoping things would have changed over the years...but no I guess...

So, PES...here I come...
 
well havn't played PES 2008 but have played FIFA 08 and can safely say buy PES 2008 :p
FIFA 08 = good piece of shit ( cause this time it is more competitve, but sad graphics and other things )
and on the bases of previous PES versions i am hoping this will be very good and much better then FIFA series as usual
 
I started out with FIFA and quickly learnt it, and have played almost every edition starting from 2000. The graphics were awesome. Then i got my hands on PES 3 and started playing it, and thought that this is difficult to learn, but what i like about PES was the gameplay, so eventually i learnt it and fell in love with the PES series, of course then the player likeness was not there then coz FIFA had the rights and i almost laughed at the names that the players had in PES e.g Nistelrook for Van Nistelroy. I simultaneously had all the editions of PES and FIFA since then, but i am still in love with the PES series more.

So, if u want to shoot from far and score more goals and like more eye candy get FIFA.

If u want to play a passing game and create and score goals and want better AI, get PES.

Just my 2 cents...
