when in the manager mode , i found it confusing and a bit old compared to fifa.

Heh heh. Don't worry, I hated the menu in PES 6 too. (The main menu colour! :S )

Anyway, I took some screen shots of menus till start of game. I think the menu this year is decent.

800*600, Medium Settings, Windowed Mode. (Used Print Screen. :D )

In the first screenshot, the menu options (where it says exhibitions), the choices scroll.
In the strip selection menu, the figures in the selected strips rotate. Looks cool.
 
Hey, where do you guys buy the game(PES) from. I stay in Bangalore and i have not been able to find the game selling anywhere.

had got the previous version, PES 6, from a friend of mine who was in UK.....this time none of my friends are there in UK/ Europe :(

can anyone tell me if the game actually releases in India....
 
every year fifa claims to have made some drastic changes to its AI and how this year the gameplays better then PES but no way is it going to be

X360 / PC / PS2 are out. [Have been playing the PC version for the last three hours. :D]

IIRC, PSP version comes out next month.

Differences from Demo/Old Version:
- Commentary is about the same. [Seems nice, but have a feeling I'll go back to turning it off after a few matches.]
- Game speed is a bit slower than in demo.:hap2:
- Personally I find it a bit more difficult to score than in demo.:hap2:
- Pet Peeve 1- Barca a decent bit stronger than Madrid :@

Also, the demo ran better on my comp than the game itself. [but then, I am gaming on my onboard graphics system. My card doesn't get here till the 10th.. :(]

Some glitches in the final game. Sometimes the Konami logo is replaced by some placeholder. I saved a replay goal Robben to Guti and goal, the demo file named itself eto'o to Deco and Goal.

Overall, am decently satisfied as of now.

demo will have obviously worked better. as it had some gfx settings not present in it & also stadium effects & pitch conditions etc. they will be in full version which will obviously make it work a little slower than the demo.

i should have it by tomorrow morning. cant wait :)

Better than in demo. Not as many spills.

And as in the Demos, they are brilliant in one on one situations.
Any spills I have seen are in directions away from nearest opposition striker. 7-8 games played, have had only one rebound that was scored off.

[Then again, my keeper is Casillas :P]
 
I have started to hate one thing about FIFA 08 the crosses by wingers land only in the GK's hands while in FIFA 07 they used to land in the attackers feet.The ball just goes so slow while crossing that the GK is bound to catch it.

So no more crosses , my wingers have become useless in FIFA 08 , hope thats not the same story in PES 08.

PES Demo graphics were pathetic on my PC waiting for the full game release and super patch , comm patch if required. ;)

lol i dunno what you are talking about, but the demo gfx were brilliant. its the best gfx i have seen in a soccer game & i dint expect it to be so good also this year from pes. you need a good high end card now to play pes at full settings.
 
^ even on medium setting graphics are quite good ...
but i play at low setting and it looks really poor , even worse than PES6+Superpatch ... and also at low setting the FPS seems to be capped at 30 :(

ya but common on low settings you are comparing gfx to pes6 high settings. that is no comparison. hehe

anyways i suggest you all upgrade gfx cards as this game is brilliant with high settings.
