German's had no problems with confidence they had problems with holding onto the ball. As expected the Spaniards held onto the ball and dictated the game so there was no blistering counter attack from the Germans.

Like blr-P mentioned, Spain never gave the Germans an opportunity to break free. It is now up to the Dutch to do the honors and bury Spain.
 
Aha !! Finally talent and skill overwhelmed power. The score would have been easily 3-1 if Casillas didn't save and stupid pedro didn't fail to pass to torres ( 81" ). Even alonso and villa missed some half chances.

SPAIN vs Netherlands -- My dream final. :D Hope to see at least 4-5 goals. :rofl:
 
Hmm, i'm open on the final, let the best team win, neither has ever won the world cup. These two are due a crack at it as they have been the biggest underachievers that showed a lot of promise over the years. If Spain does it then they equal Germany's record of having won a euro cup followed by the world cup.

Hmm i don't know about that, if tonight's match was anything to go by.
 
I doubt the final will be high scoring game specially looking the way spain play.But this match was a breather for me(supporting spain from the first day) as many chances were created and even the shot on goals were more.As usual spain makes it difficult for the other team once they score.Also this match would have been a cracker if spain hadn't played their usual game.But you can't put blame on germany's players as they got to see the ball very late in the match.

an interesting observation which i made was that spain had a lot less possession this time, just 51% instead of the usual 65%+ that they have.this certainly shows that they are taking more risks and letting the ball go rather than pass it back and it's about time they did that.
