** Price dropped to 23.5K ** (Editing the title of the thread is no more a possibility, AFAIK)

A cousin of mine bought this Apple iPhone 3GS 16GB Black in Nov. 2009.

It is fully unlocked and has no such issues like tethered jailbreak, means you can switch it off and then switch it on at your ease, you don't need to connect it to the computer and jailbreak every time you switch it on.

It's extremely difficult to find such 3GS iPhones these days.

It's in very good condition with all accessories in the box.

Price: Rs. 23,500

** Note that the date on pics is May 09, '10 because it's the same phone (locked on FW 3.1.3) that I had posted around that date but folks were not confident of it getting unlocked. But, now it is unlocked, Thanks to iPhone-dev team's new ultrasn0w. For some reason, I can't edit the title of that other thread, so had no choice but to start this new thread. Will request mods to close the other thread. Sorry mods for this all overhead for you, and so looking forward to see the "Market Watch" functioin again !!

Reason for sale: Phone was locked on Firmware 3.1.3 since 45 days, cousin couldn't wait until now to get it unlocked and use it, so bought another 3GS. Hence, it's up for grabs !!

It is now unlocked for all GSM networks !!

Would prefer local buyers who can pay cash and pick it up but can ship it if buyer pays the shipping costs.

no, it's not factory unlocked. it can be done through as it's from O2 UK and I heard that there's a
form available on O2's website, filling which unlock can be requested citing the reason that it has
to be used outside the UK and they do that in a week's time, AFAIK.

But, I won't guarantee that this request wil be fulfilled by O2. So, consider it not fatory unlocked
but with a potential to get factory unlocked. It's unlocked to use any SIM card though.

i think the neW ultrasnoW 0.93 cAn unlock all basebands
afaik

He meant the phone is unlocked.. I guess.. nothing else. About that O2 thing.. I think may be done..

Yea, u can upgrade to os 4 and keep it unlocked.

now since the phone has been unlocked unofficially, O2 may not honour the deal!

can this be unlocked by O2 first and then upgraded to iOS4 (officially)?

Download file here connect your phone in DFU mode to computer and run this program it will tell you about the bootrom.

Thanks Vibhor, but it's no more needed as Comex is releasing a new jailbreak shortly, that'll allow all 3gs phones to be upgraded to 4.0,

be it old or new bootrom :-)
