Firefox 3 changes on show

Onlie magazine Techdo has managed to get its paws on a forthcoming version of Firefox 3. As you would expect there are a number of improvements to performance, stability, and security, and it's also going to look a bit different.
The mouse cursor will change and interact with microformatted content in the context of the Web page.

Firefox 3 will include some significant changes. It uses version 1.9 of the Gecko rendering engine–which itself hasn't been released yet and which includes the Cairo graphics layer.

Content will be dealt with in different dialogue boxes. If it is MIME, a protocol, RSS, or is an application being downloaded. Under the bonnet, things are a bit more unified with the user having a consistent UI for selecting the actions they would like.

There are also a wide range of improvements to performance, stability, and security, and it's also going to present several new user facing features.

Some of the Improved features are:
Bookmarking, Tagging and History
Malware Detection
Content Handling
Microformat Detection
Private Browsing

FF is the best browser. no doubt.

just one question guys .. isnt it firefox CPU hungry compare to other browser ?

I can nicely use IE 7 on Pentium 4 1.4 machine .. but when I start with FireFox it shows 90% and above usage by FF. Once all page loaded it shows normal .. again click on anything/ any page loading .. CPU usage goes high.. IE is much less.

Is there anything wrong ?

cairo is broken atm if I believe hence it might be due to issues there. There have been some memory leaks stuff from way before which they hope to sort out in this release. Also you haven't mentioned which version of FF have you been using the 2.0.0.5 series or the FF 3.0.a5/6/pre 7 series. I am on pre 7 & here there are no issues that you speak off. Also what your specs. & memory stuff are as important.
