Firefox 3 changes on show
Onlie magazine Techdo has managed to get its paws on a forthcoming version of Firefox 3. As you would expect there are a number of improvements to performance, stability, and security, and it's also going to look a bit different.
The mouse cursor will change and interact with microformatted content in the context of the Web page.
Firefox 3 will include some significant changes. It uses version 1.9 of the Gecko rendering engine–which itself hasn't been released yet and which includes the Cairo graphics layer.
Content will be dealt with in different dialogue boxes. If it is MIME, a protocol, RSS, or is an application being downloaded. Under the bonnet, things are a bit more unified with the user having a consistent UI for selecting the actions they would like.
There are also a wide range of improvements to performance, stability, and security, and it's also going to present several new user facing features.
