Whatever be the case, if you plan well in advance (~ 3 - 5 months before travel), you would get good deals and save a lot

^ Haha. It's in the name dude. Read Bangkok again and you would know :P And google up Pattaya
lmao :) nice one
So i think bangkok would be fine for my vacation, guys do you suggest going through a cruise to add some more fun or the flight from 2-3 destination instead of heading with a direct flight

There isn't much of a price difference btw 3star, 4 star and 5 star hotels, though the difference in quality is significant.

Usually:

3 star - 3-7k/night, for two people
4 star 3.5-8k/night
5 star 6.5/7-9.5k/night

I am talking of staring prices for cheap South Asian countries.

The most expensive five stars of course cost 20-30k+ per night, but there are those which barely cost 8-9k per night.

So that is what I would recommend :) entry level five stars

Or you could stay in two 3-stars using crossfire/sli. That way you get the performance of 6 stars and have to pay only 6k which is less than even the cheapest 5 stars.

Not funny. Am talking serious stuff here. A five star costs about twice of a three star, and is definitely much much much better, for just 3-4 grands extra each night.

Take whichever hotel suits u and it depends on how many green leaves you want to shell out ;I think hotels are used only for securing luggage and spending a night,u can have your meals anywhere

in KL 2 stars in chinatown will work out to 1k-1.5k per night. decent a/c rooms for the price, considering one needs to spend the night & keep luggage.
i booked with air asia 6 months in advance for my f1 trip this year. all in all spent 30k including air tickets with luggage & meals, f1 3-day grandstand pass, 6 days stay at 2 star hotel & meals at good joints, city travel and sight seeing including genting.

u can check this site for some hotel deals: http://www.agoda.com/asia/malaysia/kuala_lumpur.html
