Free Solaris 10 DVDs

hmm but what do i do with it yaar ??.....u think i can easily install it like windows and start using it.. is it a simple GUI OS .. ?? or do i need to know a lot of things like commands and all..

cauz i ve never even tried my hands on linux and all..also though i feel the urge to do so...never got the time and patience...lolz ..
 
nah...I had a lot of driver issues with Solaris 10 that I downloaded off the website. Not many softwares available either although most linux softwares seemed to work...But then drivers were my biggest issue (mayb it wont b for other) and without the drivers, its very very unstable !!

Sun Studio 11 on the other hand is an awesome software. Its an awesome IDE, actually a complete swiss knife. Mayb a little too much for new programmers, but its a very professional IDE and amazingly its free!! I know a lot of businesses use it and its audacious for Sun to give it for free, earlier charging for the previous versions!! Must have been a tough decision to make!!

Or....I could always use some more coasters :P Do Unix based coasters spill less liquid than windows based coasters?
