Kind of a silly question but I accidentally bought front-load detergent, but I have a top-load washing machine. Can I still use it without causing any harm to the machine? I assume it should be fine since it's just detergent, but I'd like to confirm.
Should be ok but the lack of adequate foam from a front loader detergent may cause some deposits on the clothes whereas the foam in a top load detergent would collect it and remove it more effectively.
Try it and let us know.
Pls show me some evidence that FL clean better than TL.
Easy
Higher temperature washes that too fixed so wash quality is consistent. Top loader means whatever temperature water comes out your tap. Around years end water from my tap is closer to 20 degrees than the required closer to 40 degrees which fully activates the enzymes in the detergent. Assuming you don't cheap out on detergent. I don't live in an area that gets 300 days of sun. If you do then its possible you are washing in water temperature closer to 30 or slightly over.
Superior wash action in a front loader compared to a top loader means stains removal performance will be better. You can always soak beforehand in a top loader to close the gap but it's an extra step and not necessary in a front loader.
Prewash option (if required) to remove debris from clothes in a front loader as water consumption is much lower. This results in a much cleaner wash. Is prewash available as an option in top loaders?
Much longer cycles mean a more through cleaning than the relatively short cycles top loaders for the most part have.
Given the amount of water used by top loaders most will only use one rinse when the ideal number should always be two.
Good enough? I don't recommend top loaders because they can't clean as well unless you hook them up to a solar water heater and even that is of limited use throughout the year.
I was in a guest house just few days ago and got chance to use a top load machine for some quick washes.
Be more specific. Which brand machine and what program did you select
And yeah. They cheaped out and gave you a top loader as maintaining is cheaper. Good for the owner and not necessarily for you.
And I was quite impressed with the 50 minute washing quality.
Wash cycle was not fifty minutes was it.
Total cycle duration (wash, only one rinse and then spin) was 50 minutes. Meaning your wash cycle was most likely little over twenty minutes. There is more water so you can gain time but it's very dependant on not overloading which I find happens very often going by the videos I see.
It basically took some cheap tide powder. Lol
If your clothes are light to medium soil you won't notice the difference. Try heavily soiled on a regular basis and value of a front loader becomes quickly obvious.
I'm not impressed by the lower cost and short sighted argument you are in essence making. I can afford better quality and will pay for it.
