btw, the remote controls only a creative media center app , a bundled creative player, and volume controls.

No dude, there is one option in remote console where you can tick on ----> use remote for windows function.

You can use remote to type in numbers, enter key, switch between programs, presentation in power point etc. this is the added function of remote and don't say that it only controls media centre app without experience, ive used it in these years and controlled windows apps after checking on use remote for windows function.
