i used to have a 7900 gs and couldnt play pro street or grid on it .
if the performance is good i might buy it . i study in israna so i could come over and check the performance for myself if thats ok with you

I've got a 7900 GS myself and I can play pro street and grid easily at 1440 x 900. The problem must be in your CPU or your RAM. What other config you got? This is a better card for sure but the jump won't be that noticeable IMO

I have almost completed NFS Under Cover and Burnout Paradise City with this Card.

Also played Mirrors Edge.. Runs very smooth. you can check it any time you want. wud be etter for me also. dont have to ship...

have also given a screenshot of vista rating of this card, 5.9 for gaming and 5.9 for aero i think thats way greator then 8600gt's 5.2 gaming.

this card's performance is almost equal to an 8600gt in todays games..and is faster than a 8600gt in some old games!!
