^ cos probably 20 Feb 2009 is the date the drive came out from factory....they give you new drives as RMA most of the times....he may have bought it earlier though (the older one that he RMAed with this one)

Considering most HDD manufs offered 5 yrs warranty since mid-2005,
maybe he got this in lieu of an older 250/320 gigger if not a 500, considering the age of the older one.

i have no idea how much the warranty is. my friend said one and a half years and thats what i mentioned here
if its 3 and a half years remaining, then well and good
drive is one and a half years old

Since you are selling this, why don't you run a warranty check on the WD site and post here.
You can see the serial number thru thr anti-static- no need to break the seal/packing.
That should clear all doubts.
