Laptops Gaming laptop for around 40k.

The previous model has T5800 not T6400! And Im getting the one with P8400 for around 40k :eek:hyeah: from a guy who deals in computers etc. and knows me well...its available at 44k otherwise in the market here in chandigarh..but he has kept us waiting for long coz hes told my dad that prices are gonna come down in mid month.. :mad:
 
My budget is 40-45K max and I need a laptop to be able to play COD4 at acceptable frame rates at its native resolution of 1280x800. Anybody know who is the official ASUS dealer in Nehru Place?

Yeah I know, but I am getting one with T6400 for 40K+taxes. They have just one piece of those. Anyways, acting on your cue, I might wait till mid-march :)

The price you said, 44k, is it with taxes??

BTW, aren't you the same guy on Digit forums??

Is the price that you mentioned with tax or without tax?

I had email'ed Zenith and in reply the mail mentioned that the laptop configuration that you mentioned in you post costs Rs.47k. Do you mean to say that the market price is lesser than if bought from Zenith directly?

Yeah..im the same guy on digit forum..
The market price here in Chandigarh is 43k w/o 4% vat..so it'll be Rs. 44720 to be exact.. this is the one marked as 47k by zenith..that is with P8400..and im gettin it at around 41k from the guy whos gettin it for us from a distributor.. :hap2:

Does your guy know the distributor personally or can anyone get such a big discount by buying from the distributor?

Yaar that guy is into this pc,hardware,amc business etc. so he obviously knows many distributors etc. coz he mus be dealing with them..so u can say that he is getting the laptop for us at wholesale rate.. :hap2:
Dunno if u a distributor will be ready to give just a single laptop to a customer..they usually give if u order in bulk..

yaar i'd been busy all day bcoz of the laptop...but i couldnt buy it! :mad:
Actually the guy who is to get it for us was busy and i kept on calling him and asking him to finalize the price etc. but he never replied even once..so nothing got finalized...and btw...the price of the laptop in the market has also come down here in chd. ..first it was 43k w/o vat now its 41k w/o vat...so if i dont get it from the distributor then i'll go and get it from the showroom itself...but still the story aint over :( ..i'll have to wait a few days more coz they will bring it only on order.. :( ..lets c if i get it sooner from the distributor...
 
Price update guys. I'm getting T5800 wala config for 38k including everything. Believe me negotiating with a Zenith dealer helps :)

The only problem is, he says warranty would be available through him only. That sounds kinda weird to me.

Hey! Even i checked with the dealer here...the one with T6400( 2ghz ,2mb cache, 800 mhz fsb) processor is coming for 38k! :eek:hyeah: and this laptop actually has got an option of processors so i'd recommend u to go with atleast the P7350 processor coz its 2 ghz,3mb cache ,1066 mhz fsb and is also penryn based wich will produce less heat,consume less power and give more battery life and it will give much better performance with games...that should be around 40k i suppose.. im gonna go for either P7350 or P8400..whichever is available..coz i can't w8 any more :mad: ..
lets hope i get it 2morrow!
 
yesterday i saw tata croma laptop which is build exclusively by tata and available at croma outlet only. following is the config (if i can remember correctly:))

c2d procy

4 gb 667 ram

320gb hard disk

15.4 " screen

512mb nvidia graphic card (dont know which model)

other bells and whistels

price is Rs 42,000

hope this helps some1 :)
 
When did tata start manufacturing laptops!! :S nd also these croma stores are not in chandigarh i think..so it would be of no use to me anyway..Anyways..its too late now...i;ve already booked the zenith laptop with P8400 processor today and i hope i get it in 2-3 days.. price should be around 41k.. :eek:hyeah:

congo mate, yes i was surprised too when i saw "tata croma laptop". but this thing is for real. visited croma yesterday to order my dell inspiron 15 :D
 
Hi I was also on the lookout for a lappy and I bumped into this one... but later I came to know that this croma laptop is the same from Zenith that u ppl had been discussing all along.... Only the name has changed... May be Tata is too proud to feature Zenith brand in their stables or something....
