Laptops Gaming laptop for around 40k.

Checked out Croma lappy. Since I have seen Director range from Zenith before, I can say for sure it is the same thing. Only the Director logo on face replaced by Croma :). If there were any doubt it was removed by the system property page in Vista - bold Zenith logo :)

My mini review (consider me a newb to lappies)

Screen - Not as vibrant color as I have seen in HP/VAIO. But then again nothing to complain.

Trackpad - was responsive enough. But I would have liked a trackpad-lock button(as in HP) as the trackpad is slightly on left side.

Overall build quality - Again nothing to complain about. A bit on heavier side. But definitely sleeker that a vostro 1500(the only lappy i have used before).

vista score - if it matter it was 4.9. 5.3 for graphics.

specs - I'm attaching the cpuz dump text. Yeah the salesgirl did allow me to plug in my own pendrive :D :D

price - It was a model with T6400(but you'll notice CPUZ identifies it a P7350/Penryn). Price at 43k inclusive everything. Plus it had 2 years warranty. I'm getting same model at local Zenith dealer @ 38k.

So what u r saying is that Croma guys are looting in broad daylight for a machine being sold at 38K locally officially, am I right? Is the model with P8400 processor available with Zenith people? Where's the Zenith's showroom in Nehru Place? :S
I need to buy laptop quick in this week and also a Netbook too for my sister, price bracket is below 20K so please help me out folks, this is the most desperate time I need help from ya'll ! :ashamed:

He got it for 38k all inc. and that is the one with T6400 2ghz,800mhz fsb,2mb cache processor..
He came on gtalk only once y'day and thats when i got to know that hes bought it! hasnt come online as yet today.. but im w8in..he must have become busy with his laptop! :rofl: ..and he should also be posting a review soon..

Go for the P8400 one man! The config. is awesome at that price and u can never ever find it in any other brand in India!

yes u r right, i never had any doubt bout the gr8 config that these lappy had but my only prob was the after-sales service. thats why i went for dell :)
im sure others will agree with me

Abhishek, so what u r saying is that the laptop is available with Zenith guys in Chandigarh! :bounce: If that's the case then which one Sec 20 or Sec 17 ?
Please tell me ASAP as I'll be going to Chandigarh tomorrow and will get it from there itself if available. :hap2:

Its not available in stock in chandigarh...the sec. 20 north india computers is going to get a delivery this tuesday so that is when I am also going to buy it.. :eek:hyeah: and its available in stock with the Ludhiana dealer...he has the T6400 one in stock!

You sure about that, u sure that when I turn up there on next day, they won't gimme out-of-stock or price inc. due to demand $hit? :bleh:
Anyways, so its going to be the Sec.20 dealers whos gonna have his delivery on Tuesday or both of 'em? Where will u buy yours? If u can do me a favor then tell 'em to keep a piece on hold will definitely absolutely buy it on Wednesday. :clap:

I dont know about the exact Fps u get for games on this laptop but GTA 4 runs smoothly at 1280x800! and one more thing...theres an Asus M50vm laptop that has exactly the same config. as this zenith laptop..but just its got 1 gb Vram..and not 512 mb...but that hardly makes big diff. and from its customer reviews on newegg.com i've seen people mentioning that fallout3 ,farcry 2 etc. run smoothly at high!! and crysis also runs good on med-high..some even say on high!! check it out..

I want to and will buy the P8400 model if it is less than 45K inclusive of taxes otherwise will have to go for the T6400 one. :cool2:

Man the laptops havent been delivered to that zenith store as yet :( ..i called them up today..he didnt tell me the exact day when he'll get it...and he'll gimme a call wheneva he gets em.. lets see if it comes 2morrow or day after..
