Gears of War cannot work post Jan 28

I am playing this game since a couple of days, just started on 28th and didnt play yesterday. today when i started i got an error message saying "You cannot run the game with modified executable code. Please reintall the game."

Looking at the message, i thought it was pretty obvious. :P but i just googled and found out that the problem is due to Microsoft. Apparently Microsoft's digital certificates expired which makes the game unplayable.

You can still play the game by setting your system date to an earlier date.
 
erm ....let me try the game now

EDIT :- got the same error message :(

was completing the game for 7th time :P
 
same is happening with me :( the forum ppl are setting their dates to some days back and it works for them.. dunno whats wrong :P
 
lol lol... dsarosh was complaining about this in the screenshots thread. someone tell the poor chap..

man these guys ruined a wonderful game. the game is really great. but unfortunately they first messed it up with the game save problem which is totally unacceptable. btw that hasnt even been fully fixed. and now this.

MS sucks. :@
 
This is simply unbelievable :@ I need to mess with my settings to play one of my favorite past time !! Die MS !! Die !! And take Cliff B with you :@
 
Phew!! Wont be playing it any more. Completed thrice and thats enough. :P

But I guess a patch should resolve the issue if not setting the dates back. *sigh* Its again MS's product.
