the ultra is going to be 256bit there is no way they can compete with ati with a 128 bit memory :bleh:

According to a report by VR-Zone, GeForce 8600 cards will have 128-bit-wide memory buses, just like their GeForce 7600- and GeForce 6600-series predecessors.
The site says Nvidia will introduce two GeForce 8600 models: a GeForce 8600 GT with a 650MHz core clock and 900MHz memory and a GeForce 8600 GS with 550MHz core and 700MHz memory clocks. Both models will have 64 stream processors, a 128-bit memory bus, and 256MB of GDDR3 RAM. Those specs contradict previous rumors, and they suggest the two cards will only have 28.8GB/s and 22.4GB/s of memory bandwidth—pretty low considering the GeForce 7900 GS has 42.2GB/s.

So when can we see cards like G84 core 8600 Ultra in india and for how much?? Also how will this be compared to a 7900gt??

Well , consider this .. the current gen. 7600GT beats the 6800U in anycase .. so its quite obvious that the next gen. midrange card should beat the current gen. flagship card .. so the 8600Ultra/GT should do better than the 7900GTX/GT .. infact , the 8600GT oc'ed should do better than that 320 MB 8800GTS ...

Not if they use some GDDR4, that could provide enough bandwidth but it dosent look like NV is going GDDR4 yet, but i could be mistaken
