So finally the wait is Over n i have kept my words .I have managed to get the Product from ASUS (Tiwan) .here is the Prices ....

What kind of users does HDAV models target? HTPC for sure, even gaming?

One single verdict like answer would help me a lot, how would auzen prelude stand against the xonar HDAV for audioengine5 bookshelf speakers?

yup, the HDAV does have a lot of HTPCish features, and even some audiophool stuff like higher end op amps and the op amps are in sockets so that we can play around swapping them :D

I've no idea how they'll sound comparitively. Mesa getting the Xonar DX because its PCIE , cheap , and is supposed to sound good :)

is ASUS DX better than Audigy ZS 2?
i have z5500 and currently using it on P5B delux onboard HD audio. is there any great improvement over my onboard HD vs ASUS DX ?
 
How much warranty BTW?

Edit : Will the card have to be shipped to Taiwan for a replacement?

Amazing pricing though! It's just equal to KMD's price but with warranty! :clap:
 
lack of hardware EAX , yes, but it is supposed to do software EAX in vista , something even Creative cards cant do properly

EDIT: has anyone tried it out in linux ? This might be a deal breaker for me . Can someone who owns it try it out in ubuntu hardy and see if it works ?
 
I have a pair of Sennheiser HD485s connected to my PC. I'm only interested in stereo music playback and gaming. Which of these models, if any, would be relevant to me? Note that I have no intentions of attaching a multichannel speaker system to the PC.
