So he deserved it because he won? Interesting logic. Although I'm sure you people would be singing a different tune had Alonso won.
Hell no. I would be in depression if tha unsportive idiot won.

Nope...thats not the logic. I'm not saying they shouldn't reward 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc.. but the reward for winning should be more than what's currently being given. The current point system discourages pure racing and drivers just go around in circles to get a clean points finish. Who'd want to risk a win for 10 points when you can get 8 easy points for being 2nd. Its not to say scoring a second place is easy but its relatively easier.

Points system should be such that drivers feel motivated to go for a win. Imagine a points system like 15-10-8-6-4-3-2-1 and drivers would do anything to score those extra 5 points. A win is a win, its priceless and any championship should take that into factor.
It was because of people like you that the old points system was changed.

Schumi was winning everything in sight without any competition. Mika had run off to take part in touring car racing.

It is times like these which show Schumi as the real champion. When he was winning, you all wanted him not to win and the points system was changed so that the title race would be more open. But now, the same people want to change the points system to give more points to the winner !!

Alonso is talented. His driving skills are one of the best if not the best. What ppl (includin me) dont like is his whining ways and his behavior with his own teammate and the team. We would have certainly been singing a different song if he would have won coz no one likes a back stabbing teammate and a driver who doesn't like his own team and starts speaking ill about his team.

I absolutely agree..... So what if he drives well ? He isnt a true champion. Same reason the aussies are pretty unpopular. They play good cricket but they are so goddamn arrogant.

With every post of yours u've started to sound like a schumi fanboi desperately trying to put schumi on top of everything. C'mon now, the schumi era is over! Its time to pick a new favourite. :bleh:

As for the points system, I dunno whatever made you think that I supported the change at that time. We all know Ferrari and schumi were so dominant even a change like this cud be of little help. That was a terrible decision by FIA to change the points system but the good thing was that they started to reward 8 finishers instead of 6. BTW, all champions are real champions, including schumi. :ohyeah:

lol was just kidding...!!

Apart from above discussion.. Even though Kimi won the championship i think in longer term Massa will be Ferrari fav.. Its just that Massa sync quite well with Ferrari's..

And Alonso to Renault might now actually be the bad move..We have seen table turning around...So what Renault was weak this year, they might still gain next year.

Its just begun for Hamilton, People will expect a lot more form him now and expectations are good thing at certain limit after that its pressure nothing else..!!

Let see how next year turns out to be..

Just read some news that Hamilton is shifting his base to Switzerland

Well, obviously.

Now is the time to give it back to people who kept ridiculing Schumi when he was at his peak.

And Alonso isnt a real champion. He may have won the championship, but he is far from a REAL champion.

wow didnt know that there was such a debate going on here

regarding the points system the current one sucks. there should be a clear diffence in points for a win. the old points system was used for god knows how many decades and should have been left as is.
and regarding bmw or williams getting disqualified dont worry .. if at all it happens only the teams will get penalized and drivers will get to keep points. thats the norm these days and i dont think mclaren will be able to say anything about it
