Graphic Cards Got myself a 7950. Thoughts.

Don't want to be a party popper but those PhysX effects looks unrealistic specially after destroying that bot. Flame will never flow like that.

OTOH there are very limited games that use PhysX - perhaps 2 or 3 :P

That is what I meant, a satire on the subject. How nVidia makes them the king of the technical hill but they have zero effect on your game, how you play it. All it does is add a lot of sprites and culls your frame-rates (if your card can run it in the first place).

No, not at the same places. I suspect the card is faulty though, will probably contact Flipkart regarding replacement. In case I decide to do so, will I need to courier it myself, or will Flipkart's courier service pick it up? Nvm, they pick it up

That's old news. The Vapor-X already has those BIOS.

No. Far Cry 3, Dishonored, Crysis Warhead, Metro 2033, Sleeping Dogs are the ones where I've detected it.

Yea, my card already come with Boost functionality.

And, I tried overclocking, underclocking and adding to power limit. None of these had any noticeable effect. I get the same artifacts at the stock clocks too. Oddly, Uningine Heaven runs without any problems.
 
Got my card yesterday. Installed and running great. The temps however are not in sync with ur card. It idle/ normal use between 37-41. And has reached a max 61c after about an hour of gameplay. Runs fc3, blackops2 smoothly at ultra no issues.

Where are you from?. He lives in a chilly place, so the ambient temperatures are different. People living in Siberia will report 20. Depends on the ambient temps buddy.

I live in Mumbai. Malad to be precise. Will post pics later in the day. Was very excited when i got it so just installed the damn thing.

What are considered safe temperatures for graphic cards?
