Where did you purchase your touch? I got one today and it came with 3.1.2 firmware. And yes it is an amazing device.

Yours is a 3G one which released after September 2009. OP has 2G one.

Okay congrats on ur purchase , few questions from me . I am still on jailbraked 2.2.1 , can anyone tell if its worth upgrading to latest firmware and is it easy jailbreaking . My 8gb touch shows just around 6.8gb free when empty , how much space does your touch shows .

Well my iPod shows 7GB when its empty. Am on *wait a min* 3.0 firmware. I havent synced it in ages tho :bleh: am happy with the songs I have so maybe next week will sync it. (Actually iTunes puts me off )

all firmwares are easy to jailbreak. however, only a tethered jailbreak exists for 3.1.2, which is the latest firmware.

BTW, if you want to take a screen shot in the iPod, press the menu button and then immediately press the power button, i mean immediately.
