Thats funny. Damm, now i know why my games didnt work well before!!! NO NVIDIA , therefore NOT the way its meant to be played :rofl:

I got to experience this firsthand, when a guy I know tried to convince me that his 8600 GT outperforms any Radeon card ever produced :S

He even said stuff like "Directx 10 games ko problems hai ATi cards pe" and "nVidia Directx 11 bhi support karta hai, ATi nahi karta" :rofl:
 
^Hey, I have a Gigabyte 8800GT for sale, 10k. Local warranty, will ship to you in Delhi. Interested? Basically, it's not playing games the way they should be played, so I plan to get an AMD card...

Kidding.. WTF are you posting for here, anyway? When everyone is telling you to go get an AMD card, why on earth are you so adamant on going in for an inferior solution?
 
^^ *nix support, but the way AMD are updating their drivers every month AFAIK at present ATI cards are better then NV even for Linux. 48xx series were supported outta the box for linux...

HD 4850 with the default bios and no registry hacks, will get very hot. But dont let that bog you down there is a simple fix for that. And do get a good PSU..

Yeah and the way its meant to be played campaign didnt do much for NV apart from brainwash guys like you :)

Also ATI more or less uses same designs for their workstation class, so for modeling purpose there is a good chance of a softmod to the fire GL series. No brainer here...

i think ur NEW over here.....u might not be comfortable with ATI stuff......but reality is .......anyone will opt u for a 4850 .......ask the same question in any other local or international forum .......u will get the same answer......bcos its a future proof Upgrade....dude, you are getting a 22inch LCD ....also games like crysis 2, farcry 2, Gear of war 2 are coming out............u might regret in after 3-4 month if you get a 8800GT now.

over here ....no one is a ATI or NVIDIA ambassador .......who is opting you for a specific brand ...EXCEPT 1 or 2 dudes:P :P :P :P just telling whats best for you.

Regarding ISSUES.....who told u ...they have issues...which website ???

dont get fooled with greetings ' the way its meant to be played ' in some games.
it is just Markettng gimmick, 4850 proved that & demolishes Nvidia card in those games.

Anyone knows the exact price of it in Delhi ?

(A friend of mine told me that Sapphire 4850 is available for 9900INR+TAX in Kolkata)

And which one should I go for : CM 450W / 500W? (Consider the real needs and prices)
 
^ wise choice....its 4850 DDR3 not DDR2....

Sapphire is a good brand for ATI....if u are getting for 9.9k...get it thru u r frd....best deal... :hap2:

best psu would be Corsair Vx450.... for 3.5k

U can also get Palit HD4850 for Rs 11.5K on Theitwares.. Better is to get it cheaper frm ur frnd..:D:
