Samsung f62 running crDroidWhich phone is that?
After posting this now be ready for the party! Only if you got what I mean..No-one in my family (of 5) has had Any line issues ever over multiple devices. parents exclusively Samsung, Sister exclusively one-plus, brother and me exclusively apple. the problem might be widespread but not everyone has it.
Samsung is still giving screen replacement only upto s22 series. (Atleast in my place until now and they said replacement plan is going to be extended) And all the s23 series are now getting green, pink or white lines after update. Samsung sc are refusing to replace s23 screen quoting there is no official replacement plan yet for s23 and it is a hassle to get it replaced for free. We need to tag them in twitter and complain to consumer court, then only they will contact you and give free screen replacement. Some service centres here are trying their best by connecting the customer directly to higher authority and helping with screen replacement. Even if you get replacement you still need to pay some service charge under 1000.
Isn't it primarily a hardware issue rather than a software issue?after update
Issue is hardware related but caused by software update. Some voltage variation in power supply for pixels in the display or something like that. happens during updation and it may cause lines in the display right after update or some time after that. Got his info from few phone technicians. Can be an issue because of the manufacturing defect of displays, or maybe that and poorly executed software update which is unlikely to happen this long. Similar to their chipsets Samsung displays are notorious for this and they are the one who provides display for most of the manufacturers. OnePlus changed to BOE displays from 12 series and I think after that oneplus got recovered from this issue.Isn't it primarily a hardware issue rather than a software issue?
