GTA 4 patch2 to patch1?

hey guys.
...i'm playin gta4....i installed the patch 2...but as u guys must b aware...one is not able to access internet...beacaue of which i'm not able to do couple of missions...
----->is der a way dat i can make it wrk wit the patch 2?
or
----->how do get back to patch 1?....i did d most basic thing by jus installing the patch1 n c/p the crack.....errr...but nothin happens...
...help me out....

You will have to uninstall the game and again install patch 1.Dont forgot to backup ur save game files.

I am not facing any problem with patch 2.

you are facing a problem because you are using the ahem version.

anyways, there is no 'intelligent' way. either reinstall or play other missions.
 
no i'm not usin d ahem version...i installed it from d OG...

...n plz gets som thinkin boots on!!!...

...n how cum u guys r not facin d problem...

....i mean moi friends on orkut nvidia community also faced dis problem..
 
no matter abt installin from the og discs...
as soon as you put the crack...it becomes ahem..

hey reinstalling is the only method to remove the patch no other way.got it;)
 
lol im using the ahem version with patch 2 and no probs :P

(except for the sucky graphics)

from what i have read on gta forums is that the internet problem is only for cracked versions. they had put the bug for cracks. if you are still facing the problem with original installation, you must be doing something wrong.
 
dude...how can i do something wrong with an og installation!!

btw does using the fake securom launcher come into the list of wrong things....

hmm..i could try again with the original launcher...will get back..

If you are using the org version of it. It should work. Make sure you dont use any crack or a image loader just to play it without the cd. Just do a re-install which is a pain i agree. It should work fine. This is confirmed by Rockstar ppl themself.

I like the patch 2 since my fps rates were better than before.

P.S : no offence but would you mind cutting down on the sms lingo so much.
