Gtalk logging in and out

culprit seems to be either your Data connection or power saving policies over your android device.

You will be going on n off on gtalk all the time because of that.

if you are still on sgs2 then upgrade to ICS; much better gtalk client.

But I keep my data connection always off. I start it only when I absolutely require it.

I use an app that changes the APN name itself when it disables the data connection so.. that kinda rules out accidental activation as well.

Regarding ICS, I will wait for the official release. Heard some horror stories of my friends with ICS, phone rebooting, battery discharging way too fast, network issues et all. So will wait for the official release.

1. Deselect 'Automatic Sign in' in Gtalk options.

2. Always Sign out Gtalk before killing data (or closing gmail on browser)
