I too want a boxed copy of GTR2. Preferably the one that comes with a free GT Legends disc inside.

I had asked Tifosi so many times to get me a copy but it didn't work out.
 
Did the race happen? I was at a cocktail party last night :) Please post your lap times at Magny Cours in GTs, I will practise that track in an F550...
 
OK - need to find time today to practise - will consider 1:31.x as a benchmark :)

edit: bah, my initial F550 lap times are freaking 8 sec behind! will practise some more later...

That was a time trial lap I guess, what do you get in open practice?

I will try doing some laps once everyone around here is asleep and I can crank up the engine volume :P.

about the lap , i know ! even I have no clue how I got the time :lol: almost every corner i ran wide and almost went off

You have a weird braking style, but it seems to be working.

I did a couple of laps just now and the best I could manage was a 1:32.2 :P

EDIT - How do we turn on HUD in replays ?
 
this was a one off wierd lap.. my previous lap was a ultra clean one, you can see the ghost car ahead in most of the lap but I messed up the 180 really bad and got a 1:33:3xx so was desperate to keep up with that ghost car and was making a mess of things but somehow at the end after the 180 my lap was a lot faster :lol:

Yep, huge difference. In time trail mode, all 4 tyres are pre-heated to precisely 90°C and they grip like crazy :).
Proper open practice laps will be about a second slower than time trial laps.

I tried a few laps just now and the best I could manage was a 1:32.322 (with all aids disabled) and a 1:32.074 (with low TC).


You managing a 1:31 on a totally fubar lap makes me weep :(.
 
even open practice after about 10 laps the temps will be up right ? even though this was time trial mode this was on my 8th lap or so. personally never found a difference even in time trial mode my first few laps are rubbish
 
^ Even after 10 laps in open practice, not all of your tyres will be at optimum temperatures. Depending on the track, only some of the tyres will heat up.
For example, a track like Monza with only high speed right turns will only heat up your front-left and rear-right tyres.
 
yeah you're right the grip just isnt there at all
