Really guys 6 months wait gave us a grill. but power consumption is much more bigger issue than heating. its really crazy that one need at-least 600W PSU for running the whole system with any one of these Fermi GPU'S. usually ppl buy a corsair TX 450 for a mid range gaming PC. and seeing 470 price its performance is close to HD5850 and price is in high end. Within coming months there will be a huge drop in Nvidia sale graph, its sure. So DX11 generation winner are The Red Machine. lets hope Companies should start ATI optimized games especially the coming Crysis 2.
 
^ After seeing lot of reviews, my humble conclusion is " Unless Nvidia wouldn't reduce Die Size, it simply can't have control on power consumption and Heat irrespective of the transition."

Nvidia need to think again before going monolithic way in future. :)
 
^^ yes may be that's the reason. i also noticed that the Die size is really big as compare to ATI's. What i suggest that Nvidia should immediately stop product manufacturing.Yes it should be.users will only buy the fermi till games are Nvidia optimized. else its nonsense to buy 470 or 480 when HD 5850 and HD5870 are there:p. There is also a big reason in ATI winning DX11 race its the AMD:rofl:

Whats sad though is that its true and its sad because Nvidia will now get all insecure and start doing the Batman AA bullshit and put all its money into buying out game developers to make sure games turn out crap on ATI cards.

LOL. so true. looks like the good old days of 8600GT are back. Hope peole can have SLI between 8600GT, GTX480 and have two burner stove :)

Kudos to XFX. They started production of ATI card at just the right time.
 
Nvidia has really taken their own sweet time to produce nothing special, maybe at least release dual gpu monster something like GTX 295 maybe a GTX495 or something

350W or not, this thing is going to kick some real ass. The 480 is the fastest single chip gpu by around 15%. the 485 (if specs are to be believed), has the full 512 cores AND bumps up clocks as well. Should easily best the 480 by atleast another 10%.

Damn.. can you imagine a dual 485 card :rofl::rofl: 700W TDP :rofl::rofl:
