ok guys and complete noobs i found this awesome guide on the net that u can use for all ur upgrade and downgrade needs

1 Stop Guide to 3.52 M33/3.71 M33/3.80 M33/3.90 M33 Custom Firmware + Updates & Add On's.

it is just so ridiculously easy to use all u need to do is download the 2 parts

(the first part will take some tries and patience to download) and after that follow the instructions... absolutely no hassles and works like a bloody charm

i upgraded from 3.52m33 to 3.92 m33-2 within 15-20 mins it is just so damn easy...

yeah thats what re.. i was so confused about how to upgrade from 3.52m33 to 3.92 ... no one could help me out here so did a lot of googling and came accross this.. thaught it would help others like me who are stuck in older firmwares and wanting to upgrade...

just a heads up, 3.90 m33-3 is out and it fixes the m33 no umd driver to work with games like patapon and some others. tested and working.

go to the recovery menu - (start with the right trigger button pressed)
set Configuration->Use M33 network Update as Enabled
Restart

XMB->Settings->Network Update
It should update your firmware automatically.

It might download something to your game directory. Run that and you are good to go !!
Cheers

what abt my post sirjees??

ok this is what I think you need to do !! get a psp phat wit CFW
download Despertar del Cementerio. follow the instructions in the readme there. You need to down load the 3.80, 1.50, 3.40 PBP's.
else I'll get it done.. planning a CFW installation cum beer drinking evening. details somewhere in this forum.
Cheers.

Ok I got the new PSP Slim with official FW 3.90....I have a softmodded Pandora battery.... How should I hack the PSP...
you need to have a premodded psp to create the magic stick also
i dont know latest apps out there, maybe one of them is a readymade zip you can unzip to your stick straight away

Not exactly.... Upgraded to CFW 3.90-M33-3... :hap2: :hap2: :hap2:

Used following tool to create Magic Memory Stick using my computer..

14749_TOTALNewbieasyInstallerPandorasmenu.rar

This tool can also create Pandora's battery but I didn't use it 'coz I already had the soft modded one... So Pandora battery is most important to downgrade + upgrade + de-brick the PSP...

Soft modded or hard modded... doesn't matter.... Also do remember that all the videos on net for using Pandora shows that on inserting the battery PSP screen shows option to install the CFW but in some cases it does not...

As in my case I was stuck 'coz there was no such display but my PSP was reading from the memory stick... I didn't noticed it for first two times & removed the battery (pandora) thinking its not working :ashamed:

but on third time I let it run for a few minutes.... & PSP switched off automatically.... there was no display all this time while using pandora battery... but on installing the original battery I checked & my PSP was @ CFW 3.71-M33... ready to be upgraded to CFW 3.90-M33-3... :eek:hyeah: :eek:hyeah:

If people here want to hack the PSP themselves then get the Pandora battery for sure 'coz without it you cannot change the firmware on a new PSP with official firmware....

And all this procedure didn't needed another PSP....

:)

What i have -

1. PSP slim with OFW 3.95
2. Original slim battery (which came with my slim psp)
3. Original sony ms duo card 64 mb (magic gate supported)
4. Pandora's battery (bought online) looks duplicate battery which is hard modded
5. Duplicate sony ms duo card 4 gb (magic gate NOT supported)

Here is my question -

once i insert pandora's battery + magic memory stick (made from Original sony ms duo card 64 mb) ... downgrade my OFW 3.95 to CFW 3.90-M33-3.

Can i now remove my pandora's battery + magic memory stick and put in my original battery (which came with my slim psp)? and use my 4gb card (duplicate sony ms duo card).

ofcourse you can infact you have to use the PSP with original battery.

and evne the magic mem stick can be converted back to normal by formatting it once.

a friend of mine has fat psp with 3.93oe.when he tries to dongrade it using my pandora battery and mms it doesn't work.
theres no prob with pandora batt or mms(3.71m2) cos i had downdraded my psp slim 3.60 with it.
can anyone tell me what the prob could be

Finally got mine downgraded , couldnt find anyone with a custom firmware to do it myself so got it done from palika bazaar for 150 bucks and got 2 DVD's of games for another 150 :)
