Storage Solutions Guys suggest me some good backup solution to backup my data.

Whatever is important and office stuff must be uploaded to either Google Drive OR MS Skydrive OR Box OR Dropbox... the list goes on.

The advantage of Google Drive over the others is the fact that another login is not needed if you already have a GMail account. Ditto for Skydrive if you use Hotmail.

Both of them have web apps for Office files so you can view without needing to re download them. In this respect, Skydrive has an advantage in a more or less identical view of MS Ofice plus Skydrive gives 7GB vs 5GB of Google Drive.

For movies and music, stick to an external drive, WD OR Seagate, your choice. In case of data loss, these can be re downloaded again, mostly.

I agree one should not fully trust the free cloud providers but if they are big players like Google, Microsoft. They can be an exception.

Well, in the above article, gizmodo editor's amazon account was hacked using a social engineering technique. annnnnd amazon is the biggest cloud player these days. I might sound paranoid but, I never liked the concept of trusting someone else with my data. especially if its personal and confidential.
