where do u guys play? a total n00b here wud love to learn a thing or or two in CS. (Been playing q3a for ages n fairly decent at that.)
 
^^Even I had stopped playing CSS for a while more like a few years, and had been playing TF2 for a while, but last nite I found the IG server "IndianGamers" or something, I will send you a PM with the serverIP:port in the evening once I am home....

Yes ofcourse you will it is proper server not a cracked one.

I dont know how much it is I am using my old key from HL2 still :-) Thanks to Steam.

By 2010 many new engines and graphic modification will be introduced !

There is a big industry out there, so why start on another project i.e back from scratch ? after earning so much reputation and huge fan-base creating demand for HL series. HL2 was hanging on the news for a long time before they released it.
 
episode 3 is the end of story line for gordon freeman.probably new characters and new story line in hl3.they are not gonna just shut down one of the greatest franchises of all time
 
Man i just loved HL2.... and it would be absolutely mind blowing to see HL3....the Screenie looks simply uber kewlll...:jumpy:

HL2 had a story?

HL2 was amazing. Brilliant presentation. Loved it.

Currently playing Episode One and is it just me or is this stuff boring as hell?
Only good thing about it so far are the action music sequences.

Hopefully Episode Two will be better.
 
^^ episode 2 sucks more ...just played a few hrs before i uninstalled it ...get headache while playing this game ..sucky graphics
 
^^Yes none of the Episodes so far 1 & 2 haven't been close to as good as the original HL2 and that was for 4 years ago...
 
HL is a saga, its not going to end any time soon imho. Episode 3 is supposed to close the story arc of the combine on earth not Gordon Freeman. HL3 is speculated to join Portal to Half-life.

Portal 2 will come out before that. There is a lot of half-life left, we haven't even started thinking of the Combine world, there are many mysteries yet to be resolved. More power to Valve for creating this hugely interesting flawlessly executed series.

HL was epic ,then came HL2 to astonish us all !!! and now HL3?!
Kudos to the most dedicated game developer,VALVE !

looking forward to hearing more bout HL3..
 
Half life3 has been known for a while now. Although I thought Freeman would be the main character there as well. Will have to wait and see now.

Kidding right? If there's one thing Valve got right with HL2, it's the art direction.
Even without any fancy shader bling bling, HL2 and its episodes manage to look amazing and still run great on 2-3 generations old hardware.

Unlike a certain other game that won't run well even on hardware from 2-3 generations in the future :P.
 
I play HL2, and it still feels so current gen! The texture/shader quality sometimes beats the regular games that come out - sometimes even the good ones like CoD4! And the physics are unbeatable. Combine all this with superb art and an amazing storyline and fact that it can all run on 3 years old graphics cards at 40-50fps - I've great respect for a game made this optimized with features that bring future generations to shame. If HL3 even looks remotely like this screenshot, i'm gonna die!
