Most likely that was just another agent or maybe an L2 or even the team lead who pretended to be the "Head of Customer Care India" if you got him by calling the call center.

^ @ yogesh: I got his contact from the signature of some other lower level person. I didn't get through to him directly. But they don't write their full name or designation, so it's tough to say whether the guy is what he claims he is. But the person said this in e-mail, so if he was lying, he's going to be in trouble.
@H20, my preference is always to solve problems amicably. But despite all my requests and reminders, here I am, 10 days after the date promised to me, and they still won't give me a commitment as to when they will deliver it. It's only after I have extinguished all attempts to appease to reason that I am essentially being forced into taking legal action. It's a big waste of my time too, but what can one do when they refuse to help me? Anyway, could you tell me who works for Dell on TE? (You can PM me if you prefer). I would love to talk to them.

Just asking because i too ordered dell ... i missed 18.5K price by one day.. they charged me 18.9K, The monitor was suppose to be here by saturday... It is monday now.. The monitor is showing 15 DEC as expected date..
I asked the guy Harish C.(who processed my order) to refund my money, but it seems that he is on leave till 9thdec...

Wow. wow. wow.
Despite multiple assurances that the monitor would "definitely" be delivered by Saturday, and latest by Monday, I found out from them today (after making 10 calls) that it hasn't even been shipped yet!!
These guys take the cake for being thoroughly incompetent, unprofessional and useless.
From 8 - 9 days promised shipping, we have now reached 28 days, and still I don't know when it will come.
I'm speechless as to how angry I am.

Actually the original lappy turned out to be crappy and they took 4months for replacement even when i lodged complaining on the very next day of its arrival..
the lappy as working just some glitchs you dont expect in a new laptop..

I know it's an option. But at this point they have wasted 20+ days of mine. Can you imagine what a company would have charged me if I was 20 days late with a payment? I think there should be an element of compensation, and the companies unfortunately get away with it in 99% of cases because people don't fight it out.SauravR said:
