It would certainly take more 2 years for them to fully cover the areas of Mumbai or Pune.

I Expect Speedy shit from this ISP. Though, Practically this ISP has faced a lot of Problems with Almost everything, I hope to see them in other cities like Chennai, Bangalore,Trivandrum by 2013.

From what i see the website links are still broken, Lets wait for the 1st review of the broadband by next month.

I dont get the funda here...Residential Hayai is bit confusing...Please help me in choosing out plans...I need upto 80-100gigs...which one should i go for?

Their FUP is quite innovative... :)

Subject to “reasonable usage”, which is defined as total price inc tax

divided by 10. No over-use charges or penalties are applied, however

blatant misuse or abuse of network resources (250% of FUP)

on a consistent basis may lead to a permanent plan upgrade.

what are the current areas covered in mumbai??

and if i order on the site how do i knw when i will get the connection?

Seems like there's a rental of 199 for wireless and 499 for landline connections per month in addition to the data plans.

For ftth, its 550 + data pack cost.

The way they have structured their site, i don't think anybody could easily figure out what plan they might need. Regarding FUP - why do you want to confuse your users with "divide by 10 the plan inc tax amount" , wtf is that supposed to mean , your plan cost in not anyways variable for a fixed plan then why not just go ahead and post the limits. Isn't that easier for users to decipher.

Give them some slack. Their FUP is much better than just imposing a fixed limit. "divide by 10 the plan inc tax amount" means if your plan charges is 2000+200 tax = 2200 then FUP limit is 2200/10 = 220GB. Again this is just ball park number and their FUP is flexible. All these will be clear if you go through their faq.

^ Exactly.... They do not have any stringent CAP. They just mention the range. Suppose, if you get a plan worth 1100/- , you can assume your usage limit is 110GB. Normally, for other ISPs, it means either you will be charged after wards or you speed will be several times less. For hayai, you can still use the internet at same speed for 5-10 GB or even 30-40GB more but you are not expected to do this every month . Their mantra is, no strict FUP cap, but you should limit yourself to the CAP for others' convenience. And in fact it actually sounds like Fair Usage Policy. These kind of FUP are already in place in US from Comcast / ATT etc. Besides, no ISP provides as much as 110GB CAP for a plan worth 1100/- at 1Gbps not even close :)

^^ No, that is incorrect. 550 Rs is infrastructure charge with no Data. After that 10Rs/GB. and this is the data plan where you will get exactly how much you pay over 550 divided by 10. So for 1100, you get 55GB of data. Not a GB more.

The "unlimited" plans start at 2k for 20mbps. For these, the FUP is price/10 which is 200 in this case. and yes that is the non strict FUP you mention.
