Graphic Cards HD 4850 Temperature doubts

Well guys,today i brought a Spahire HD4850 512MB GPU
GPU working excellent but iam just worried about the temperature,chd using Everest
Here are temps at idle -
GPU diode(DispIO) - 52°C
GPU diode(MemoryIO) - 60°C
GPU diode(Shader) - 55°C

GPU Fan Speed - 1777RPM
Is this normal ?
 
Using Furmark - Benchmarking :

Max GPU Temp: 72°C

FPS: min=88 max=157 avg=106

Resolution: 1024x768 (FS) - MSAA: 0X

Stability Test - 83°C (For 5mins)
 
My idle temps are: (Overclocked to 690 core and 1005 Memory)

GPU diode(DispIO) - 38°C

GPU diode(MemoryIO) - 43°C

GPU diode(Shader) - 41°C

Loads Temps (furmark, 5 min test)

GPU diode(DispIO) - 77°C

GPU diode(MemoryIO) - 88°C

GPU diode(Shader) - 82°C

the GPU temp nearly touched 80°C as well!

i guess thats a lot of rise in temps!! fan speed is ~1750rpm.

is that fine as well? or a bit in the danger zone?
 
The temps are fine for HD4850. If you are still worried, can manually set the fan speed higher to reduce the temps.
 
ya i guess will increase fan speed and also add another sunon fan lying with me.... :D.... noisy cabinet i will have when i am playing games lolzzzzz
 
arnt those temps high?

coz my 4870 reports something much different.

furmark

1024*768 MSAA 0X

min: 148

Max: 222

avg: 172

fan speed set to auto:

idle temps: 44c

GPU memo: 61c

GPU Shader: 52c

fan idle: 2210 RPM

during furmark:

max temps: 54c

GPU memo: 69cc

GPU Shader : 61c

max at load: 3960 RPM

is there nythin wrong with the GPU temp sensing? can nyone plz post the temps of 4870 too?

coz, with higher clocks, 4870 is supposed to run hotten, aint it?
 
your fan is running at nearly double the speed at load!! So I don't think it should be of grave concern if your GPU is running cooler than you would expect! :P
 
it sounds like a jet engine at full speed. Its a 90mm fan on the stock cooler. And dunno why the default speed when set to auto is 54%, while iver seen most other 4870 at some 30~32% on auto[they idle at 60c+].
 
^^All dont worry re :) 48xx are hot cards...

They easily touch 100 without any damage..

A friend of mine isnt worried to run his single slot 4850 at:

Load:

GPU: 92

GPU Memory: 102

whereas i dont like any component in my system to even touch 80..

ive added a dead silent fan to accelero on my 4850 and temps still arent so convincing (though my room is very hot, and my caby has no fans :P )

Load temps:

GPU: 66

GPU Memory: 77
 
my temps are too high at 90% fan speed idle temp is around 65 degrees and when playing games like age of empires 3 the temperature is 106 degrees with 90% fan speed :@ :@ :@ :@ :@ :huh::huh::huh::huh::huh::huh: i wanna clean the heat sink but i donnno how to clean it..... can sum1 explain me how to?? Please...
