HD format war gets big shock

Bahh..I'm purely looking at these discs from a storage point of view. Whichever is cheaper wins for me.

HD-DVD's encryption has been broken so studios see Blue-Ray as better bet.

I think the format war is now nearly over. Bad news for those who have already bought HD-DVD player. My advice - Sell your HD_DVD player now while there is still some demand.

Which one is cheaper or better doesn't really matter now.

Not really. The format war is not over.

But if Paramount switches, then HD-DVD can shut shop.
