i doubt it very much can you reference some source

if a retailer is going to give such prices none of the other ritchie street dealers will survive

200-400 bucks difference may be there not more than that

Yes, it's very true. It is because of the higher sector density of plates where the size of plates remain constant or just an increase in the number of plates , this makes it more prone to every every weakness that a Hard Drive has.

Just to be sure keep a track record of the S.M.A.R.T data and speed in the first 6 months, if your hard disk has gone past that time period it run good for another 2.5 years.
