re: Heavy Rain ~ Discussion Thread

b/w did you forgive her in the first playthrough ???

also the Electric Fence Challenge & Cut your Finger :(

It really asks the player a Question - "How far you will go to Save some you love ?"

re: Heavy Rain ~ Discussion Thread

Forgive whom? Madison? Yeah. And then kissed her as well and then you-know-what. LOL how could I miss that? :P

Which's why in the second plathrough, I intend to see the remaining endings and collect the foregone medals. :D

Yeah, the first time I did the butterfly trial, I got electrocuted so many times and he went by that door. :ashamed: Restarted but got the medal. :P

Cutting the finger part - did it 3 times. With the butcher's knife, scissors and pliers. :D

re: Heavy Rain ~ Discussion Thread

^Planning to download it once I'm done with the rest of the endings but I really do not want the PS3 to do the downloading part. :@

If there was a way to download it separately and have the data transferred to the PS3 just like updating the firmware. :(

re: Heavy Rain ~ Discussion Thread

I have completed that Finger cutting challenge in all ways possible :bleh:

The DLC is nothing to do with the Game though, its the same demo which was shown as earlier make of Heavy Rain. The Taxidermist scene ;)

re: Heavy Rain ~ Discussion Thread

That's what I always wondered since I had completed the game. I remember QD had shown that footage at Leipzig 2008 where Madison escapes from that Taxidermist, but had never seen it in the game. Are you sure, that's the only part we play?

Ah completed the game! Damn it Scott Shelby! I never thought he'd be the . . . :O
Ah so he is the killer after all. I haven't finished the game yet and I guess I am only 60~65% though it, but I definitely got the impression that the Scott Shelby character is the origami killer. He is the odd man out in the story in the sense that he is very normal compared to the oddity of the other characters. Also I vaguely remember reading or a story of this sort. In that the killer is the detective and he goes around destroying evidence. I think this might be the same case in this game too.

@ethan...yeah... Thats the only part we play :)

@nemesis...sorry for spoiling the END :P

Damn! :P

Why are you playing it now that you know who the Origami killer is? :P

I was already 99% sure that Shelby is the killer after a couple of times I had to play using him :P Your post just confirms the same. Still I will play the game for the endings.

re: Heavy Rain ~ Discussion Thread

^Please do. :)

I'm doing the same although I did quickly browse through the several endings. :ashamed:

re: Heavy Rain ~ Discussion Thread

Ok, Finished one complete play through of the game. The ending still leaves a few loose ends. For example there is no explanation as to how Ethan gets the Origami figures in his hand after his blank out. No explanation of his memories of drowning children. Is this explained in some alternative ending.

None of the alternate endings shed any light on Ethan's blackouts or how he gets the Origami figure. If I had to take a wild guess, I would say that Shelby planted that figure during his blackouts. A DLC is required to probe more into this matter, which I don't think is really worth the time and effort. It could easily go down as a loose plot hole.

re: Heavy Rain ~ Discussion Thread

@nemesis...nopes it is a permanent loop hole :) nothing explanatory is provided and you are open to guess work ;)

re: Heavy Rain ~ Discussion Thread

Damn that Kamikaze trophy is frikking hard! :@

Been trying and trying. Got that god damn baby to sleep without messing up with the prompts. :\

--- Updated Post - Automerged ---

Phew got the Kamikaze finally - the trick was to tilt the controller to the right gently when the cops start chasing Ethan. And the rest of the usual left, right, left, left, right and the remaining right combos. :P

re: Heavy Rain ~ Discussion Thread

 I dunno how, but i got that Kamikaze trophy in my first try :D

Second try i got the other trophy for the same challenge ;)

re: Heavy Rain ~ Discussion Thread

I'm starting my second play-through tonight - planning to get the Perfect Crime + Trial Master + Nerd trophies + All Endings. I hope the first 3 wouldn't have problems with each other. Another one I'm missing is the very first trophy - Happy Birthday. :(

re: Heavy Rain ~ Discussion Thread

^Happy Birthday is glitched as i heard. You have to complete every chore i.e.

Complete the drawing + Set the table + Play with kids

After you wake up, take a shower and get dressed, head downstairs to go into Ethan’s office. At the bottom of the stairs, take a left (Ethan’s left) through the living room and go all the way to the windows. Now, take a left and keep going all the way back until you’re in Ethan’s office. Sit down at his table and start drawing. Every time he stops, keep doing so until he signs his name. Wander around until your wife and kids come home. After you help her with the groceries, she’ll ask you to set the table. The cabinet with the plates is next to the kitchen table. Open it and gently set the plates out. After the table is set, go outside and play with the kids. When it’s time to play with Shaun, run around the yard with him until you’re prompted to put him down. Don’t put him down right away. You HAVE to run around with him for a set amount of time for this trophy to unlock. During your swordfight, you have to win.

Hope that helped :P

Also this trophy unlocks after completing Father and Son Chapter :)

re: Heavy Rain ~ Discussion Thread

^Ah thanks. Read up more on that trophy.

Finally unlocked Nerd, Trial Master and the Perfect Crime trophy. :D

Interesting epilogues must say. :)
