generally u will get a little more performance from going from 5th gen to 6th gen
......

in this case
i3 6100U (6th gen) is clocked higher 2.3ghz and has better integarted graphics hd520
and
i3 5005U (5th gen) is clocked lower 2.0ghz and has little slower integrated graphics.

so 6th gen laptop is better than 5th gen one .... i would say get 6th gen one.

6th gen has hardware acceleration for h265 video which 5th gen does not have. Probably saves on power consumption too.
