Yes, RAM and Hard disk are easily upgradeable. But I am sticking with the 1GB of RAM and 80 GB hard disk until I actually need more. I will just be running Windows XP and Linux EEEbuntu on it, so I don't think I will need more for the time being.
Did I tell you that I can carry this think in my college bag? It is the same weight as some of the books I have to carry.

is it possible to replace the battery 4-cell battery with a 6-cell Li-ion battery?

I am afraid that with wifi and bluetooth enabled, even a six cell battery will barely last you even 4 hours. Without them, you will last around 4 and a half hours to 5 hours with normal usage. So don't get the 4 cell version. If you can't get the 6 cell 80GB version, just get it from PredatorVJ at Er0d0v.
