Lol, not really. Have told the issue to the buyer though. These might come back on sale after some time, not just now.

Definitely worth upgrading. Hifiman's are the next-tier upgrade to the HD599. I found the HD599 to be boomy and muddy in the mids. Never tried them with an AMP though.
 
You found HD599 muddy/ booming? To me they sounded kind of bass light ( perfectly fine with me...too sensitive to lower frequencies)
