Ebikes are a big hit here, lots of them around, school kids are all over the place on them. I guess its the way to go from now

US is in a wrorse condition, daily price rise

Exactly, smiling they are not.

Maybe their exporters are but who wants to pay even more to refill 'their' cars :D

If not right now, it eventually will. Oil is not becoming cheaper and neither is the supply increasing (compared to demand). It is but obvious that the price of fuel WILL rise and probably continue to. Non conventional energy ftw!

Seriously, the only good investments for ANY period of human history from now on are energy companies.

i'd bet on alternate fuel ;) (suzlon?)

pollution free and non renewable source of enery=gy? where you living in? Most of the power comes from coal and thermal plants :| so you buy more electricity for bike, you help burning more coal.

Yesterday only their was an article...the way price are increasing.....in another say 2-4 weeks oil company might declared bankruptcy if fuel prices are not increased.....Also being an election year plus inflation.....will kill upa...so they might pass on duties to companies and small increase in price......

Plus chances of us economy improving is somewhere ard after september as i read in papers...till than price might increase as dollar is getting weaker day by day compared to euro

I just dont understand one thing, why doesnt india or any other countries put money in RnD which will help find some other alternative to oil.

Thx to this spike in oil prices, the saudis get rich and send more money to terrorist.

Because if the price of oil were ever to fall then such investments would be lost. What you say the risk is in that case :)

See after the oil shocks in the 70s, ppl started to look for alternatives...

as in oil from places other than the gulf, so they could never take the world for a ride (again).

For the most part it has worked.

You guys have nothing to complain about, the gas prices in UK are more than 2x the US...

velociped :P ....that should be funny

We as a consumer, don't have alternatives other than costly fossil Fuels. :|

anyone knows when it fuel cell thing reaching India?

and when its reaching common man.

I attended a seminar in my college about "Peak Oil". The guy who spoke was a energy expert, and he predicted that oil will cross 200 dollars a barrel by 2010. I was skeptical to being with, but seems we are actually headed in that direction :(
