Hindi Series Discuss (neflix, amazon prime, youtube, etc.)

I recently saw "Crimes Aaj Kal" on Amazon MiniTV with intention to watch something side by side while working, without having much expectations. But I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that the show actually taking into account so many things which may be affecting the teens and young adults today. I really feel it is a show one should recommend to your teenage son or daughter to see so they don't screw their life for things that don't matter usually but unfortunately it is life from them at that stage and as parents it is very difficult to make them understand.
Like mobile game addiction, getting affected by social media comments, revenge porn, fake account on social media to do online harassment, love causing murder etc.
Watch Paatal Lok. It is amazing too. So many good actors.
Jaideep Ahlawat and his role of inspector was amazing. Such a talented and under rated actor.

One of the writers of this show is my cousin. :)

Completed "Saas, Bahu aur Flamingo" on Hotstar. It was a good tale.
The last episode had too many twists and turns though. But the flashback scenes were quite good.

Let's see if and when they release part 2 of this.

Guns & Gulaabs - Liked the show... very entertaining season finale that was! "Ekdum dhamakeh daar" post Intermission! Solid performance by the cast.

Atamaram I tell you is the damn...

Grim Reaper himself :smilingimp:
[/spoiler

Scam 2003 on. SONY Liv
9* of 10

What an awesome true story, he really knew how to win people.
Not much interested in season 2 though.

Bambai Meri Jaan - 7/10. Slow burner at times and in certain segments drags on a bit. All the episodes should have been kept to under 40 minutes and the entire thing would have felt tighter. Also, Avinash Tiwary's (guy who played Dara) acting felt one dimensional. His expressions while acting here were rather bland. I liked him in the show called Khaki more. KK Menon and Saurabh Sachdeva (Haji) were top notch in their roles.

Scam 2003 - 8/10. Very good show. The actor who played Telgi was superb, really got into the skin of the character. I only wish they completed the season in it's entirety instead of leaving it incomplete with a "To Be Continued..." line.

That scene in the...
Dance Bar where he blew up and showered 90 lacs on the dancer... God Damn!

He was more apt for this role & surprised with his body language/acting(Pakka)

The Railway Men - 8/10, Only thing that felt off was use of CGI and that was quite obvious in various scenes. The incident is of 80's so adding CGI in some scenes doesn't do much justice to the vibe.

At the end when the Gorakhpur Express was on same track and the engine got connected to the bogie from front where as where as they should have showed that the train was diverted to another track and then came back to connected the locomotive engine and the bogie at the tail.

Indian Police Force - Complete Rohit shetty masala movie style. Fight scenes are senseless, sometimes they will fight normally but at the same time you will see flying cars, 3 police officers can take on a gang of 40~50 people like they activated GOD mode in game where a single punch is enough to take out heavily build guy :) .... dam they even added couple of songs.

What more crap can you expect? Rohit makes films for himself not public. Old south movies are his inspiration where a single person (in a GOD and no clip mode) wearing loose lungi fights 50 people with a single bamboo stick, blasting trucks, burning farms etc. Yet he doesn't sweat nor a single scratch or drop of blood..

While now south Indian movies have become sensible, Bollywood is getting shamed. Glad the recent actions thrillers at least looked realistic!

Moreover, movies are now going beyond 3hrs where earlier they were just under 160mins.. and the saga of its own series/parts is killing it!

Almost every movie in Hindi cinema is same senseless action.
War, Shamshera, Jawan, Pathan ..I mean I can go on with the list.
And they were some of the most pathetic movies I have seen.
I have stopped watching 95% Hindi movies.

I agree with you, somehow post covid there has been an increase in senseless movies!!! Bollywood has really lost its footing. I also feel OTT getting throttled with freedom in the past year or so. Don't know if there have been a change in regulations or what; missed those early days of OTT. :)

I dont understand how these 500 crores and 1000 crores figure comes up for these shit movies.

Even watching them free is waste of time tbh.
Ofcourse I can choose not to watch it and that is what I am doing but sometimes you give into the hype .

Iirc last really good Hindi movie I enjoyed from one of the top stars was Dangal by Aamir Khan.

I don't watch Bollywood movies anymore as the standard have gone down so low that its either a complete copy paste of some foreign movie or just substandard CGI effect.

They tried to copy falcon wings in one of the pathan fight scene and you can see the difference

Foreign movies hi nahi..
They are openly coping scene to scene and characterisation from videogames too.

Pathan had many scenes from Uncharted 2.

Salman's Tiger movie look is much like Uncharted's Nathan .
Adipurush also copied from Avengers and others.
The list is long.
