Everybody's view of a Certain Product/Brand will be different.

If a certain product did not work for one person need not necessarily mean that it will not work for you.

Keep Trust in what ever you buy.

You will be helped by the members in case if you have a problem with the purchased product
Absolutely correct saar. But the point is what Type of people fall into the majority? The Satisfied or Unsatisfied ones. Incase the Majority of ppl are unsatisfied with the Hitachi support then why should i break my head over it and invest in one :P

My bad experience with hitachi happened in kolkata. But what bugs me more than delays in rma is the drives failed in 2/1 year. Lost the trust there. They were saying that now drives are getting shipped from singapore , so they cant do much. At last when i created some noise at their higher level, i got a replacement even though the replacement part had not reached the service center.

Thanks for sharing your experience. The thing is as per online reviews/comments the Hitachi 1tb seems to the best combo for speed and stability at a given price point. I am sure you have heard of problems in WD Drives for any capacity. 2Tb ones are a no go in any brand as of now. so in 1Tb at a price of 3K i am left with Two choices of Seagate and Hitachi.
