How about demonetization? It is one the most major scams in recent time. Quite quite obvious that all the new currency printed prior to the announcement was used to replace the black money in cash held by BJP politicians and their friends which is why there was such a shortage of currency for the normal people.

I am not finding any proof about congress being corrupt just like what you say about BJP. Care to show proof for any scam. Note that I won't accept any proof based on media, opposition or law enforcement allegations just like you. They must all be concocted just like you say is the case with BJP. Note that 90%+ politicians have serious criminal cases against them with everything from rape and murder to money laundering, tax evasion, illegal businesses etc. So if I accept any case against congress politician to be legitimate, I would have to accept all the cases against BJP to be legitimate as well.

I want solid proof with detailed documents, transaction details, bank accounts etc. clearly showing who was involved in the scam to prove your point. In fact, so called demonetization supposed to catch all the black money as promised by Modi did not catch a single major congress politician with black money. So they must all the honest, right?

I absolutely agree 100% but Indian politics has NEVER been about picking the best party. Its always been about picking whichever is the lesser of the two evils. Who that happens to be varies from time to time.

But yeah, I absolutely agree with the second part. You should consider it your democratic duty to be the opposition party after whoever comes into power. Even if you voted for them. Its really crazy how people defend politicians. We don't need to praise them if they are doing their job. They are being paid and given special privileges to do their job. We don't get praised for going to office and working everyday because that is part of our duties and that is what we are paid for. Ground level change ? The other week I travelled by train from Pune to Mumbai, the amount of polluted streams, heaps of trash and abject poverty along the entire route was heartbreaking to witness.
You cannot judge the performance of the govt. based on a few good things you've seen, you seem to be satisfied with basic infrastructure at that, as if it's a big deal to build a road in 2017.
I'd say the country is still a third world sh*thole and will remain so for the foreseeable future, the faster we accept that fact the earlier we can get to fixing its problems.
Demonetisation is indeed a high level scam, you and I won't be able to completely grasp the extent of it but one day the truth will prevail. Rich people got away unscathed from that experiment, you have to be naive to believe otherwise. As for the World Bank and IMF you seem to not have any knowledge about its owners, they are establishments only meant to armtwist and put poor countries that are desperate for investment into debt and are not a benevolent organization.

This govt. strictly functions on marketing and propaganda, all these Moody's ratings and whatnot are just to distract people from their failures. As if their ratings matter anyways, if a country like the US with no plans to pay its $20 trillion debt off can get a AA rating, anyone and their dog can get a solid rating as well.

He says that demonetization had no impact on him or his shop keeper which is his golden standard for determining that it had no impact on anybody. The ground realty is that I myself had to starve on several days during that period because I had no cash and card readers at my office cafeteria and surrounding places were going bust because of heavy usage. But that's just small impact compared to how many people lost their jobs and entire lives earnings and in some cases their lives. On the other hand, corrupt people had no impact and were merry. People like Nitin Gadkari spent hundreds of crores on lavish weddings while claiming to have income of 2.4 lac/anum. In fact, there were people that I am acquainted with whohad black money and got is exchanged at banks at night with the help of contacts in BJP. They when posted whatsapp messages asking people waiting in lines at ATM's to stop whining.

I think it's human nature for a lot of people to look up to an individual and this is exactly what these politicians exploit. Take Kejriwal for e.g., the things that he says and does are completely moronic and yet there are some people who continue to believe in him as if he's a crusader against corruption.
These people also happen to know and say exactly what the people want to hear, In Trump's case for e.g., it was "Make America Great Again" but everything he has done so far has been quite the opposite.
