How do you search for a HDR tv if websites and apps mention only incomplete specifications?

Unfortunately, I am able to see only the 3D settings sub-menu. The "Display", "Stereo 3D" and "Video" menus are missing. Apparently it's a common issue in Win 10 and 11 :-(
The igpu setting panel will have an option to enable HDR mode.

Unfortunately windows cannot auto switch to HDR on detection of HDR playback.. And the OS UI is rendered in 8bit only so everything will look completely weird and washed out when you change it.
However, HDR videos will play back in 10 bit subsequently.

You should however be able create a script to enable HDR on detection of video playback

PS; I just checked the specs for your laptop display. seem to be limited to 400 nits or so which wont be enough for good HDR playback , especially in scenes with high white coverage.
Howeverit has great color volume.. and specular highlights etc in most scenes should look quite a bit better than SDR so worth trying

Yeah, I am not expecting much but like you said, if I enable HDR, then the OS UI looks washed out. Shocked that in this day and age, windows still sticks to 8 bit!

Cant fault windows for defaulting to 8 bit. Vast majority of PC displays even today are 8 bit or even 6bit dithered.

Whats sad is that they still haven’t figured out how to auto switch to HDR depending on screen content.
for example Most good streaming boxes will auto switch output to HDR or SDR depending on content.

In any case, try out HDR playback on say netflix with HDR enabled - and if it works fine, you can create a shortcut or script to switch modes on your desktop
