well i said 6k and change which is different from 6k.;)but like i said it was about 8months ago.about the trolley if u had insisted u could have bought the invertor and battery alone.i think the prices of the batteries are good.since i got a quote of about 23k total but with exide tubular batteries.
anyway whats the backtime they told u ,with the 100ah batteries?

Wont be the back up time depending on the load?

well when one usualy ask the backuptime or what i asked was the backuptime at full load of 1000va or about 600watts on 100ah batteries.

^ Wont include the fridge right? :ashamed:

btw do these have an inbuilt voltage stabilizer in them? power here been fluctuating around 240 - 280v in minutes. :(

comp ups does not have so it goes on battery more often - like in every 2 mins so put a spare stabilizer in between ups and mains.

Some of the UPS brands do have stabilization by means of taps in the transformer and associated relays AFAIK. Had heard that the common APC back UPS doesn't have it. My ancient Powersafe 700VA had it.

APC Back UPS does have voltage regulation built in. In fact most UPS does... except for a handful few... APC ones also have one dedicated output socket which does not have power back up but voltage regulation only...

@6pack.... using a voltage stabilizer is of not much use.... The UPS are made to switch to battery in the event of a power fluctuation.... so you should not worry...

@ 6 pack , yeah the inverter regulates the lighting circuit when on mains .It deos act like a stabilizer .

@janitha .haven't tested it fully till now , should last at least 4 hours with full load like dinesh said . If I get 5 hrs that's should be good.

does it provide pure sine wave...???

I plan to run my computer on it and am planning to buy a Corsair TX750 PSU which has a active PFC so will there be any problems...???

yes it does ,in apc only the 1000va model provides pure sinewave.

@jak , yes it does , its a pure sine wave inverter .you CANNOT use this inverter ALONE with the computer .You need to have a UPS in between the computer and inverter . Like get a APC 650 watts UPS .
You need a UPS because the switching time of the inverter is not as fast the the UPS .
Find out all the things before you buy inverter ,UPS and computer SMPS . :)

Is APC BI1000I 12v or 24v? Cuz from what I've heard you can only attach one battery to 12v whereas in 24v you can attach 2.

Also how much was amaron shield 150Ah for? and is amaron shield series tubular?

U've bought 100Ah for 5700, I bought 150Ah Exide Tubular for 9700

Maybe mine costed more cuz its tubular, 3years warranty..?

^ Its a 2 battery system hence 24v..

Amaron shield is not tubular but maintenance free battery for inverters...

I think Tubular batteries cost more than MF types... Even I want to know the price of Amaron 150Ah Shield Inverter battery....

Also about performance/ life of Amaron Shield from long term buyers who had used it...
