Hi Guys. I am facing few irritating issues with tata docomo prepaid service(Kerala).
I receive these promotional PUSH messages. Its a very cheap tactics by docomo guys.
It content is 'click OK/green button to subscribe to jokes ~ Rs.10 per week or press cancel/abort'.
When someone takes the phone from the pocket it is normal that we may press the Ok key of the phone and immediately the joke service is subscribed and the customer loses Rs.10.
Its the worst, cheapest tactics i have come accross. (have used Airtel, Aircel prepaid before)
Also i receive WAP messages like 'SIZZLING HOT BIKINI BABES VIDEO at Rs.15'. I was like WTF. I will delete it and move on. But what if the phone is used by a 12 year old gal/boy or a 50 year old lady!!! This is pathetic. I have shouted at the Customer service ppl once or twice but to no avail.
Have subscribed for DND but it been only 10 days since i did that and they will take the max. period of 45 days to implement it i guess.
Add to that 3-4 calls daily with recorded voices.
Are all prepaid operators resolving to such tactics these days? Is there any option to disable receiving PUSH SMS or WAP messages in the mobile?
Only reason i am still sticking with them is range is pretty decent here(I don't get range for few other operators in the office) and also their Buddy Net plan is good.
