Storage Solutions How to Burn MKV files on to DVD RL(DVD9) Disks

Can anyone help me in burning large mkv files on to dual layer disks .I dont want to

re-encode the files,i just want to make a backup on to the dvds.

Can any body tell me what setting to kept in Nero or Imgburn software?I will use Verbatim DVD+RL Disks.Is it ok to burn at 8X speed or should i lower to 4X/6X or 2.4X Speed?

8X speed should be ok, and you can use Imgburn to burn those file, should not be much of an issue

if u want to play the files only on computer then just burn it using any speed with any s/w .... edit use image burn

i saw in some forums that i should burn in UDF file system rasther than ISO9660

^^ That is coz the UDF file system allows files larger than the 4 gb limit of the ISO9660.

So if the files are above that, then go for UDF, otherwise go for the ISO9660 format.

And for making backups or getting good quality of the burning, you should not burn at full speed of the burner or the disk, burn at max of 4x speed.
